As many of these things go, the recall comes “out of an abundance of caution.” Which COVID test kits are being recalled? You can recognize the recalled test kits by their lot numbers and use-by dates, and you can see a picture of the kits’ white-and-yellow box on the FDA’s recall announcement . The over-the-counter test kits were shipped to customers between Jul. 26 and Aug. 26, 2022. What to do with your recalled test kit Keep in mind that the reliability of positive test results are still expected to be accurate, so if your recalled Detect test kit says you have COVID, consider those results as valid as you normally would. You can go ahead and throw away the recalled test kits though, with the exception of their “Detect Hubs,” which isn’t affected...
