This Corn Dog Casserole Will Be Your New Favorite Super Bowl Dish

Image
Photo : Allie Chanthorn Reinmann I’ll hesitate every time someone offers me a hot dog, but make it a corn dog and I’m lining up before the shop opens up with a packet of mustard in my clutches. The sweet corn coating and salty dog work some snack magic that I find irresistible, but it’s not something I would ever take the trouble to fry up at home, and I won’t try to convince you to do so either. You can get all the sweet and salty flavors of the beloved, battered dog in a more home kitchen-friendly, Super Bowl-ready, feeds-twelve at once, hands-off way . Just make a corn dog casserole. This ballpark sausage gets a lot of hate, but they’re tasty, salty, and juicy, and cornbread is the best vehicle to support these attributes. (Better even, I dare say, then the hot dog bun.) For this method, I chopped up a few franks into rounds and folded them into a corn bread batter. The finished snack bread completely exceeded my exp...

6 of the Best Drinking Games to Play During Super Bowl LVII

Image
Photo : Pixel-Shot ( Shutterstock ) This game is nearly identical to the “drink every time” game above, but adjusted for shots, so it’s for those trying to party a little harder. The idea is to make a list of shot-worthy occurrences—like “a coach yells at a referee” or “something goes wrong during the halftime show”—and then take a shot whenever they happen. If the promise of regular shots isn’t enough for you, we have another twist for you: The “1, 2, 3" rule. The first time something from your shot list happens, you take one shot. The second time it occurs, take two. The third, three...and then hopefully you don’t push your health and safety past that point. On the other hand, you can always choose to sip instead of taking a full shot. Again, none of these party games have to involve alcohol. But they definitely can if you want them to. Super Bowl LVII is on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. E T /3:30 p.m. P T. https://www.tausiinsider.com/6-of-...
