FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried Arrested in the Bahamas on US Criminal Charges

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own. On Monday, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), the founder of the failed FTX cryptocurrency exchange, was arrested in the Bahamas. The Bahamian government said in a press release that SBF's arrest "followed receipt of formal notification from the United States that it has filed criminal charges" against Bankman-Fried and will most likely seek to extradite him back to the States. Men Made Threats at Barricade Outside Home

In a recent filing in Manhattan federal court, attorneys for FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) claim that a car drove into a metal barricade outside his California home. According to Reuters , three men got out of the car and told a security guard, "You won't be able to keep us out," before quickly leaving. SBF was subsequently arrested in December and is facing fraud and conspiracy charges related to the collapse.
