The decision for larger capital expenditures would naturally be reserved for higher levels in the organization. However, there has been a shift. It is no longer possible to gather input in the same ways, as remote and hybrid work has become common. A meeting for larger expenditures would need to be scheduled, though doing so can add months to the process. These roadblocks have led some companies to abandon processes that were set in stone for years.

Firms working with these businesses have been quick to respond, evolving to meet the new many-to-many relationship that has surfaced.
